Tıp Fakültesi' nde Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Uzmanı olan Dr. Akman, 1994-1996 yılları arasında Amerika Birleşik Devletleri' nde John's Hopkins

Üniversitesi-Greater Baltimore Tıp Merkezi' nde Üreme Endokrinolojisi-İnfertilite üzerine üst ihtisasını tamamladı. Halen İstanbulda infertilite - Tüp Bebek

konularında çalışmalarını sürdüren Mehmet Ali Akman, Marmara Üniversitesi Çocuk Hastalıkları-Yeni Doğan ünitesinde çalışmakta olan Prof.Dr.İpek Akman

(www.ipekakman.com) ile evli olup Mert isimli 12 Yaşında çocukları bulunmaktadır.Amerikan ve Avrupa Üreme Endokrinolojisi Derneklerine üye olan Dr.

Mehmet Ali Akman' ın ulusal ve uluslararası prestijli dergilerde yayınlanmış bir çok eseri bulunmaktadır.
